Hola a todo!!!
Hereby a new and fresh update after 3 weeks. The last couple of weeks we have been in the South of Patagonia. But first things first, we stopped in Buenos Aires.
We can tell a lot about Buenos Aires, but it´s an a city hard to discribe. We loved it and sometimes we had moments we didn´t like it. We compared Buenos Aires with Paris, that´s what they say as well. BA is the Paris of South America. The things we didn´t like were the differences in poverty and rich and you always hear something around. What we liked is just too much to write down. Off course the meat, the steaks are amazing...! The people are very friendly, have to share this with you. We went to the supermarket for shopping and while waiting in line to pay we started talking with an older guy behind us. When we had to pay he insisted on paying for us!
We spend 6 days in BA, some days we did a lot and some days we just walked around and read a book in the park. After all, we were in BA to catch a flight to El Calafate...
El Calafate is in Patagonia and is one of the reasons for us to come to this part of the world.
After arriving in Calafate we needed some time to arrange the trip to Torres del Paine in Chile, but we needed some time as well to adjust to the weather. Coming from 25 to 30 degrees and arriving with 5 degrees is not the best change :-S....
We spend 2 days downhere. After arranging the bus to Puerto Natales, the hub to Torres del Paine. We decided to go for a small walk. The walk was nice going up and some nice views over the city but the most interesting part was that we had some company..... In Argentina there are a lot of dogs running around, so as this time. We started the walk with one dog and after a while 10 dogs where alking around with and even leading the way if we needed it! The dogs walked with us for 3 hours.... So we walked the same way back to bring them home.
The next day we left to Chile, we´ll skip the journey ;-). After arriving in Puerto Natales it was raining constantly and in the hostel (where the dog of the owners had a dump infront of our room!!!) they adviced us to stay an extra day in the city because of the weather. We didn´t wait and the day after we left to Torres del Paine.
Torres was on the short list of highlights during the trip we are making. It´s hard to discribe how it was. We walked for 5 days, camped 2 nights. Once nearby a glaciar and the second time on top of the mountain (freezing cold during the night, -7) nearby the peaks of Torres. The other 2 nights we slept in refugios, to compare with huts in the alps. On the first day we met Mike and Sonia and with them we did the 5 day hike. Thanks guys, without you it wouldn´t have been the same. At the end of the 5 days we celibrated it with a very nice meal and some beers in the city. Thay say that in Torres you can have 4 seasons in one day and that´s what we had. The second day we started with rain and cold after a while it changed to a snowstorm, rain again and we finished walking in shirts in sunny weather. Torres is also know for the wind, we were very lucky. The first day we just had some wind for which we had to sit down otherwise it would have blown us over, and the second day we had it in the back so the wind pushed us up the mountain. After finishing these 5 days we covered 70 km´s with full backpacks with us. So we were feeling a bit proud of ourself :-D.
After the trek we needed a day to recover so we spend a few days in Puerto Natales before going back El Calafate. The second time in El Calafate we didn´t do a lot. We walked around and booked a bus to El Chalten, of which they say is the trekking capital of Patagonia. So the next day we left to El Chalten, but first we went to the Perito Moreno glaciar, of which they say is one of the only 3 glaciars that are still growing. It´s an impressive chunk of ice, especially hearing the galciar breaking.
El Chalten is a really nice small villages. We stayed in a hostel which was an old sheep farm. We spend 3 days trekking here. We intended to do a trek of 2 or 3 days and camping on the mountain but it was just to cold to sleep in a tent. It was also possible to do the treks in 3 longer day trips so that´s what we did. We went to Torre and we did the Mount Fitz Roy trek. Both were very nice and with the weather on our side we had some great days with excellent views over the mountain and glaciars we passed.
For now we´ll stop and let your read everything. We´ll try to upload some pictures so you can see what we´ve seen.

Wow, wat zijn jullie bikkels: dagen lopen met grote rugzakken, slapen in de kou, alle weersomstandigheden trotseren.... En het klinkt ook nog alsof jullie dat leuk vinden ;-) Maar wat bijzonder wat jullie allemaal weer zien en meemaken. Cool met zo''n roedel honden te wandelen, en wat sociaal dat jullie ze ook weer thuis hebben gebracht ;-) En supermooie foto's van al die wijdse uitzichten en natuurformaties, gaaaaaf!
Bij ons is de maand mei begonnen (bij jullie natuurlijk ook),maar daar is aan het weer niet veel van te merken. Volgens Gerrit Hiemstra hebben we pech dit voorjaar, hihi. Maar koninginnedag was heerlijk zonnig! Arjen en ik hebben wat reiskriebels van jullie van jullie overkregen en hebben voor deze zomervakantie naar West-Amerika geboekt, helemaal zin in!
Nou, gaan jullie nog maar lekker verder met ervaringen verzamelen, leuk om zo van julliente horen! -

ps. het weer lijkt een beetje op ons weer. Een superwarme zonnige koninginnedag, en daarna komt weer de bewolking en regen. Echte stortbuien en voor vannacht hebben we het zelfs weer over vorst. We'll see. xxx -

Wow, likkebaardend las ik jullie reisverslag en zag ik jullie foto's: daar moeten Rob en ik ook heen! Heeft jullie gear het goed gehouden? En fijn om met mensen samen te lopen, toch? En die gletsjer, sow, echt heel indrukwekkend. Hier alles ok, ik heb alweer weekend op vrijdag, hihi. Lang leve parttime werken. Morgen huisraad uitzoeken om te verkopen op de meimarkt.

Helemaal onder de indruk van jullie verhaal en foto's besloot ik de tekst twee keer te plaatsen, zowel in jullie mo'ers-taal als in het spaans.
Zoals al eerder vermeld door iemand anders zien we jullie echt in je rol van wereldreizigers groeien. Hoe stralend kun je er uitzien tijdens afzien. We kregen het idee dat er achter de gletcher of de bergtop een luxe chalet op jullie staat te wachten, zoals ze het bij BNN travel ook doen.
Hopenlijk hebben jullie ook een foto met de roedel, want daar ben ik dan weer nieuwsgierig naar.
Hopenlijk snel een vervolg, want we blijven ullie op de voet volgen.

Totalmente impresionado por su historia y las fotos, me decidí a publicar el texto dos veces, tanto en su mo'ers en lengua y en español.
Como se informó anteriormente por otra persona que usted ve en su verdadera función de los viajeros del mundo crecen. ¡Qué bonita te ves en la renuncia. Tenemos la idea de que detrás del glaciar de montaña o de un chalet de lujo que usted espera, como lo hacen los viajes en BNN.
Esperamos que tengan una foto con el paquete, porque aquí estoy de nuevo curioso.
Esperemos que sea pronto una secuela, ya que seguirá vigilando de cerca Ullie.

Ha Tom en Eline Gezelliig om in Vietnam iets over jullie reis te lezen het ziet er allemaal weer schitterend uit Geweldig wat een omgeving en ik denk ook dat jullie je regelmatig in de arm zullen knijpen of het allemaal wel echt is. Ook Vietnam ie een geweldig land met een bijzonderen uitstraling. Heel veel liefs XX
